Terms of service

Effective October 1, 2026. Pre-launch draft: the owner must finalize the legal operator, governing jurisdiction, subscription terms, and counsel review before commercial use.

Service and eligibility

Contractor Estimating Pro is an estimating platform for plumbing businesses. It helps organize contractor-owned prices, prepare reviewed estimates, generate PDFs, and record customer quote responses. It does not provide plumbing services, professional diagnosis, code-compliance certification, dispatch, accounting, invoicing or contractor customer payment processing. Account holders must be at least 18 and authorized to act for their business.

Accounts and security

Provide accurate account and business information. Keep credentials confidential and notify support of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity authorized through your account and connected MCP clients. We may limit or suspend access when needed to protect the service, comply with law or investigate misuse.

Your prices and review responsibility

All quoted prices must come from your price book, your explicit manual entry or your deterministic business rules. AI may structure scope and suggest candidate services; it must not invent prices. You must review quantities, items, scope, tax, discount, expiration and terms before finalization. Starter services have blank prices, and fictional demo prices are not market guidance. You remain responsible for accurate pricing, applicable tax treatment, licensing, permits, exclusions and the work you agree to perform.

AI and photo limitations

Analysis and matching may be incomplete or incorrect. Photo observations are limited to visible evidence and uncertainty; they are not diagnoses or compliance decisions. Confirm site conditions and local requirements independently. Do not rely on analysis to identify hidden damage or all required work.

Customer quotes and acceptance

Secure customer links present finalized versioned quotes. Customers may select an option, type their name, confirm review and accept or decline. This records a quote response; we make no claim that it is a verified or legally compliant electronic signature. Contract formation and enforceability depend on your terms and applicable law. Revise changed scope through a new version. We do not automatically email or text quotes.

Subscriptions

Subscription billing is managed only on the website through Stripe. Example Solo and Pro plan prices are configurable pre-launch amounts. Before purchase, final price, taxes, recurring period, cancellation, refund and trial terms must be disclosed in checkout and the completed launch terms. Manage an existing subscription through the customer portal. Contractor customer quote acceptance does not create a subscription or collect a payment.

Your data and acceptable use

You retain rights in your business data and authorize us to process it to provide and secure the service. You must have rights and lawful authority to upload customer details, logos, notes and photos. Do not use the service for illegal activity, deceptive estimates, impersonation, unauthorized access, cross-tenant data collection, malicious uploads, harassment, or excessive automated requests. Do not submit sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the job.

Availability and third parties

Auth0, Stripe, hosting/storage providers and optional OpenAI integrations have their own terms. Availability, provider limits and maintenance may affect the service. We may change or discontinue features with appropriate notice. No close-rate, revenue, accuracy or availability guarantee is made.

Intellectual property

The operator retains rights to the software, interface and service branding. You may use the service within these terms and your subscription. Do not copy proprietary software or branding without permission. Open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses.

Termination and records

You may stop using the service and cancel billing through the website. Contact support for export or deletion requests. We may terminate access for material breaches or lawful requirements. Historical quotes and billing records may be retained where necessary under the published privacy and retention policy.

Disclaimers and liability

Subject to mandatory law, the service is provided as available without warranties of fitness, merchantability or error-free operation. You are responsible for your contractor services and customer agreements. Any launch-specific liability limits, remedies or indemnity terms require counsel review; nothing here excludes non-waivable consumer or other statutory rights.

Disputes and changes

Contact support@example.com to seek informal resolution. Governing law and venue will be specified before launch; this draft does not choose a jurisdiction or impose arbitration. Material changes will be communicated as required, and an updated effective date will be published.
